Bob Amicone joined Ashley Furniture in 2021 as its head of litigation. Ashley is the world’s largest manufacturer of furniture, with revenues exceeding $7 billion. Through affiliated entities, Ashley also operates an ecommerce website, brick-and-mortar retail locations, and a trucking fleet with more than 1,000 tractors. Bob is responsible for all non-employment litigation, as well as advertising/pricing compliance, regulatory affairs, and real estate. Prior to joining Ashley, Bob was a senior in-house litigator with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts in Orlando, Florida, where he focused on disputes arising out of the company’s theme parks and cruise line, including attractions, maritime, and transportation-related litigation. Prior to that, Bob was part of the in-house litigation team at Office Depot in Boca Raton, Florida, where he played a central role in the merger with OfficeMax and the proposed merger with Staples. He began his career at global law firm Squire Patton Boggs, LLP, which has about 1,500 lawyers across more than 40 offices. Bob is one of less than 60 board certified maritime lawyers in the State of Florida.
