Dear SSHR Attendees, Exhibitors and Sponsors:

Upon the recommendation of the Safety Management Council Board, Transportation Security Council Board, American Trucking Associations leadership, and ATA’s COVID-19 Internal Task Force, we have decided to officially reschedule the Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition (SSHR) for later this year.

This decision was not made lightly, but the health, safety and security of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors remains our top priority.

Moving forward, ATA will work with both councils' advisory boards, to determine alternative dates in Indianapolis at the Omni Severin Hotel and Indiana Convention Center.

Please review the following guidance and action items:

Attendee Registration:

  • ATA will apply all attendee registration fees to the rescheduled 2020 Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition.
  • If you are unable to attend the rescheduled 2020 Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition, you may transfer your registration to anyone within your company or request a refund minus the $200 administration fee.

Hotel:

  • The Omni Severin Hotel is waiving all cancellation fees for existing and new reservations now through April 30. However, we recommend you contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation as soon as possible.  ATA, SMC and TSC are not responsible for canceling hotel reservations. Please contact the Omni Severin Hotel at (317) 634-6664.

From Omni Severin Hotel regarding their revised policy:

Cancellation policies:
We understand flexibility is key during uncertain times and that’s why we’re adjusting our cancellation policies. Now through April 30, 2020, we are waiving cancellation fees for existing and new reservations at all Omni Hotels & Resorts’ properties. In this very fluid environment, we continue to monitor the situation and will revisit this policy as needed. Please visit our website for more information on our latest cancellation policy and additional updates – including specific information on bookings made through a travel agent or online booking platform (i.e., Booking.com, Expedia) and groups & meetings bookings.

Exhibits:

  • ATA will hold your exhibit booth location and apply all paid fees to the rescheduled 2020 Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition.

Sponsors:

  • ATA will recognize and apply all sponsorships to the rescheduled 2020 Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we work through the next steps. Once we confirm the new dates, we will give you adequate time to review and confirm your attendance. In the meantime, please contact SMC & TSC at 703-838-1919 if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
