Deputy Executive Director, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance
Since 2016, Ms. Gildea has served as the deputy executive director of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. Ms. Gildea assists with ensuring that the activities of the Alliance align with the organization’s safety mission. Ms. Gildea is responsible for policy and government affairs at CVSA and oversees the Alliance’s grant activities. Prior to that, Ms. Gildea was the director of policy and government affairs for the Alliance. For four years, Adrienne represented the Alliance on Capitol Hill, assisting with policy and messaging, and working on behalf of the membership to advance commercial motor vehicle safety. Ms. Gildea has 20 years in the transportation policy field and has served as a member and the vice chair of FMCSA’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) and FMCSA’s FAST Act MCSAP Formula Working Group. She also served as a member of the Road to Zero Coalition steering group. Prior to joining CVSA, Ms. Gildea was a senior associate at a public affairs firm, where she managed a national freight advocacy coalition. Ms. Gildea is a certified association executive (CAE) and a graduate of Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and English, and a minor in philosophy.
